Are these real historical names?
They are inspired by real naming traditions. We combine authentic-sounding roots (like Norse Ragn, “counsel”) into new names, so the results feel true to a culture without copying a specific person.
How are the meanings worked out?
Every syllable in the pool carries a short meaning. The meaning of your name is simply those two meanings joined, so a name built from “Wolf” and “Guardian” reads as Wolf Guardian.
What does temperament change?
Temperament does not alter the name itself; it chooses the epithet — the title that follows it. Fierce brings battle titles, Noble brings titles of honour, and Shadow brings titles of stealth.
Can I use these for games, stories or characters?
Absolutely. Use them for tabletop campaigns, novels, usernames or clan tags. Names are generated in your browser and are yours to keep.
Is my saved list private?
Yes. The Hall of Fame is stored in your own browser’s local storage. Nothing leaves your device.
